On Highway

KDS solutions utilize the advantages of hydro-mechanical or electro-mechanical devices combined with electronic management of mechanical components for off/on highway and industrial applications.

KDS’s drive systems have significant advantages over the conventional mechanical systems by delivering increased traction, speed, efficiency, and fuel economy, while reducing failure rates and ownership cost.

KDS provides solutions for the on-highway heavy vehicles with its IVT technologies to cover light, medium and heavy equipment including Electro-Mechanical drive systems (EMIVTs).

The challenges facing transportation in the immediate future is finding technology that can reduce emissions and improve fuel economy. In years to come “fuel cell”

KDS has developed solutions address applications which demands a variable speed control which ranges from crawling uphill at low speeds to highway speeds.

The KDS IVT technology is not limited to engine type as it can offer the same incremental benefits when working with various engine types such as gasoline, diesel or hybrid systems. When combined with other new technologies such as advanced engines and hybrid drivelines, the IVT can further increase the fuel economy.

KDS is also working with innovative technology companies who are involved with hybrid electric vehicle systems for commercial vehicles. KDS has developed and is currently supplying transmissions in this field, which are required to work in conjunction with hybrid electric series systems in Class 4 and Class 5 vehicles.
